I celebrated this MF’s engagement by reviewing all the badforshidduchim points she’d accumulated at the time to highlight that she got married anyway. So, young ladies, for God’s sake give yourself a break and enjoy yourself a little bit.

I got into an argument today with a woman I just met today who wanted me to go on a random shidduch walk with her sister who was in town. She seemed to like everything I had to say about myself, but then she asked if I wear jeans. I said I own a pair but haven’t put them on in years. Apparently according to her I was no good becuase even though the important things like how you will treat and act towards your wife and kids were not important to her, a guy who wore jeans was a definite no!
The person I was with tried standing up for me by saying she’s never seen me wear them. But I was too annoyed to care. I was like no, I would wear them and see no problem. She was completely mortified when I told her if everyone at work started wearing them every day I would too.
Well, if that’s another thing I do that’s bad for shidduchim, I’ll gladly add that to my list!
doesn’t end. i figured it prudent to walk my bike out of the neighborhood before getting onto it.
I remember this post when you wrote it. It’s very funny.
NY is a dumb place to live. So glad I’m out of there.
do you also think israel is a dumb place? funny, i had no problem riding a bike in NY.
And it wasn’t 7 (some other number, I suspect.)
No, I think it was 8 or 9, but I really can’t keep track. Not everyone is as accommodating as you about keeping their label handy. Although you’re utterly MF by now, I should point out.
