The Grass is Definitely Greener on Our Side

Thanks, Ezzie, for the Muslim Speed Dating article. One must always keep one eye on those who have it worse. It’s very uplifting.

  1. I don’t know, Bad4. It seems there may be significant similarities here–Maybe you should write a post on similarities and differences. Just dismissing this as “worse” doesn’t seem quite enough. At least families only interview the applicants AFTER their kids have met.

  2. The kids didn’t actually meet. They said hello. Then you get married after chatting with the girl’s father.

Oh, so sticking to our way . . .

  3. Anyone who made it to the second page may have noticed the reference to the event’s inspiration – JDate.
And some of those ‘ice-breaking’ questions aren’t so culturally distant, at least for some factions of the Frum community… (“A man’s job is to bring in the dough. A woman’s job is to bake it. Agree?”)
