Did you hear? It’s a segula: if you count sefira with a brocha for 40 days straight, you’ll get married.
…Well, it’s as good as anything else.

🙂 lol
Today I was told that the best segula for getting married is to go on a date
Whatever works!
I thought that was 40 days in a row at the kotel.
Then again, I did that 5 years ago… Any idea how long a segulah is supposed to take before it kicks in?
My sisters tell me many females don’t make an effort to count every night with a bracha. Is that true?
there are people who say that women shouldn’t even bother starting with a bracha because there’s a good chance they won’t make it to the end. it’s a little easier for guys to remember because they daven maariv
college girl, many daven maariv before nightfall and can therefore not count sefira until later, if they remember. I set my alarm after nightfall to remind me to count.
What if you count sefira for 49 days straight with a bracha?
What do you get in that case?
You get a chocolate bar.
You get a chocolate bar.
I thought it was cheesecake 🙂
Oooo yes! can’t wait for cheesecake!
@inverse that’s what my husband says. Counting sefira the whole way through is supposed to be a segula for cheesecake, or rather proof that you’ve earned it!
frumcollegegirl, you can have a man remind you every night when he counts…my mother gets a text every night from each of my brothers, she’s been on the wagon for a few years already.
Until then, I was off the wagon? That explains a lot…
