Anyone Into Their Srugim?

“Srugim is a hit Israeli TV series that follows the lives of Modern Orthodox Jerusalemites in their 20s and 30s negotiating life and love. The show is smart, dramatic and funny and has been groundbreaking in Israel – depicting the lives of Modern Orthodox Israelis to Israel at large.”
The Israel Film Center at The JCC is bringing the third, and final, season of Srugim on a tour around the US.
The first two episodes of Season 3 will be screening at the JCC on Tuesday March 13 at 7:30 pm and will be followed by a Q+A with one of the show’s stars, Amos Tamam. The rest of the season will be shown on Mondays at 7pm.

  1. I watched Srugim when I was in Israel. I only watched the first season so far, but it’s just a regular soap opera with some vague Shabbos and kashrus thrown in. Seems to depict that lifestyle well, which just left me unimpressed with that lifestyle.

  2. I lived in the “bitza” for six years in the 90’s and I watched every single episode … and in most cases it does an excellent job depicting life there.
